Ernesto's

Everything was great, the food portions are huge. Pacifico can feed two people and everything else tasted well. The only negative is the lighting, it's not very good, where we sat we couldn't even see the menu. Other areas were super bight and the light colors are mismatched.

I enjoy the selection of different dishes but really appreciate the pick your combination choices. Normally we're seated within a minute or two upon entering which is amazing given this areas population

Wifey surprised us with dinner / takeout earlier. The food was EXCELLENT. The meat was ALL seasoned beautifully, cooked to perfection, and full of flavor. The toppings were all fresh and made for some truly delicious / authentic tacos. A definite revisit for us all and unanimous 5-star votes from every member of the family (no easy task).

Late lunch (or early diner) we were the only ones in the dining room Great flavor! Rice, refried beans, charro beans, chicken, enchiladas! All great! We will be returning! Ask for the spicy salsa to give yourself a great flavor kick with the chips! Our timing was perfect for up front parking!

We normally frequent the one in Frisco down Preston, but we came here for dinner to celebrate our friends engagement (her fave!!) The salsa is super flavorful, always on point. I usually get the chicken enchiladas with the white sour cream sauce, but I ended up getting the Pollo en Crema and it’s just as delicious. They’re able to accommodate 20 people on short notice and were very patient with split checks and about 8 kids under 13. We appreciate you, Ernesto’s!!

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect. Our server, Ever, was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Their recommendations were spot on, and they truly elevated our dining experience. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

My husband and I have lived in Prosper for 26 years and have been going to Ernesto’s since it opened. We’ve gone to the newer Mexican restaurants that have opened but always end up going back to Ernesto’s. Our daughter who grew up in Prosper was in town for her 31st birthday and she wanted to go to Ernesto’s for dinner. The food and drink was delicious as always. Our waiter Gilbert was exceptional as a waiter and also very enjoyable. We had great conversations with him. Definitely recommend!

I really can’t name a single dish I’ve not enjoyed at Ernesto’s which is probably why we eat there weekly. I’ve had their shrimp, chicken and beef tacos, shrimp, chicken and veg enchiladas, combo fajitas, tamales, guisada, nachos, flautas, brisket, tortilla soup, taco salad. You name it. The food is delicious. You could fill up on their chips and salsa or queso blanco. I could honestly just eat their rice and beans and sauteed veggies and be satisfied but my favs are the shrimp tacos and shrimp enchiladas. And did I mention the margaritas and happy hour. For me, what make’s Ernesto’s even better is their staff. You’ll be treated with warmth and get attentive service. If there’s something you need, just ask, and they’ll do their best to accommodate your need. We’ve done family dinners there, as many do, or just meet up with other locals. They’re a hidden gem so if you haven’t done so, do give them a try.
